Backroads

It's OK to look at all the guides and tourist magazines, but if you just follow the guides, you only get to see what every other visitor sees. We like to just take off on the back roads to see what we can find. The ranch above is just a few miles outside Steamboat Springs, but is on a rarely traveled dirt road. The cattle below were in the same area. What is the silver thing in it's mouth? I have no idea. We didn't do a lot of this type of travel on this trip, but the short drive on the last day convinced us that we need to go back and explore some more.
